NextPage® 2 Data Services

NextPage 2 Data Services Bridge the Gap

NextPage 2 Data Services bridge the gap between NextPage desktop document management products and the data repositories of centralized management systems – including shared drives and Lotus Notes. This enables organizations to leverage their investments in existing systems and to capture, store and manage the majority of out-of-reach documents.

Data Services Features and Benefits

NextPage 2 Data Services provide the following features and benefits:

1.Centralized data store monitoring and tracking –automatically monitors all saved and uploaded activities at each location and reports those changes to the NextPage client.
2.Direct conduit to centralized data stores – enables users to upload document versions from the NextPage client to any supported centralized data store.
3.Integrated upload – enables users to upload any document to a set default location.
4.Upload Report – gives users access to real time information about which versions of a document have been uploaded to the centralized repository.
5.Upload file selection—allows users to upload only selected versions of a document. For example, users can choose to save all working copies or only the final versions of their documents to the central data repository.
6.Intuitive and integrated interface—all NextPage 2 Data Services features are integrated with the NextPage client. Files saved to the server via other methods are also detected and reported.

how NextPage 2 Data Services Work

The Data Service is installed on the server that it needs to monitor and track. Once installed, the service is activated through the online console. Upload locations are defined as projects are created and members assigned. Locations are based on where the Data Service gets installed.

Once a location is defined, users can simply click to upload any version of a file to any of the predefined upload locations. Users can see which versions are stored on the server, upload the necessary versions and comply with document retention policies.

NextPage 2 Data Services bridge the gap between your centralized management systems and most documents that reside on desktops, laptops, and other portable computing devices both inside and outside your enterprise.

NextPage currently has integrations with shared drives and Lotus Notes. SharePoint and Documentum integrations are planned.
