CHHR, The Ohio State University Facilitates Proposal Process with NextPage® 2 Document Collaboration
Center for Human Resource Research uses NextPage document collaboration to save time and reduce errors through multiple iterations of requests for proposals in Microsoft Office
Draper, Utah – Feb. 6, 2005 – NextPage today announced that The Ohio State University’s Center for Human Resource Research is using NextPage 2 Document Collaboration to save time and reduce errors in creating, editing and reviewing proposals. With NextPage 2 Document Collaboration, the department can immediately review the progress of a proposal and know when the final product has included all edits and is completely accurate. NextPage 2 Document Collaboration also saves time during the editing and reviewing process by integrating directly within Microsoft Office and e-mail in the way people typically create, revise and exchange documents.
“Because NextPage 2 Document Collaboration works in Microsoft Office, we don’t have to change the way we work to use its collaboration tool,” said Pawandeep Lamba, Senior Systems Engineer of The Ohio State University. “NextPage 2 Document Collaboration tracks what is happening in the background as multiple employees edit and review our proposals, so we always know who has the latest version, what changes people have made and what needs to be done next.”
NextPage 2 Document Collaboration tracks Microsoft Office files by weaving a Digital Thread™ through various versions of the same document. Users interact with the service through the NextPage Activity Center™, a user interface that reports status of documents; the NextPage Version Map™, which shows relationships between document versions; and NextPage Notifications, alerts that warn users of working on the wrong version or give information about the current status of their documents.
